I’d like to start contributing to this weblog posting a project of mine (and some other friends: Stefano Massa, Federico Pedrini, Nethical – Antonio De Luca, Francesco Pannuti).
The Dreaming Wall is a tool of cultural, simultaneous and random collective communication. It has been devised as a visual buzz that reveals the collective subconsciousness, as metaphor of a society asleep. People from all over the world are invited to reveal their dreams and post them to the wall. The messages, collected and stored in the dreaming wall archives, will be displayed randomly and continuously. We are what we dream, so let’s find out what we are. No filters and no subscriptions, of any kind, are applied to the wall, that operate as a collective random blog.
The website is connected in real time to an installation (see picture) in a non commercial gallery in Mestre (Venice- Italy), where currently is part of an exhibition of my own work. The project was originally conceived as installation in a public space. This is, for us, just like a demo version.
I’d like to start posting with this project, because it will open a frame for some of the issues that I will raise, discuss, post, and talk about, in this weblog.
